Kaleo Ministry:
We did not have youth this week due to it being Easter weekend. This means this upcoming friday is our last friday! This also brings up the question that Katie asked the other day, as we were talking, "what change have we made in their lives?" This is a thought provoking question to say the least. What kind of example have we been to these kids, what will they remember about us? I will certainly remember them in my prayers.
Today's church service was sweet. There was a choir, the kids sang a song, all that good stuff. It was also a sweet sermon by Darin, all about linking OT prophecies and how they were fulfilled by Jesus in the NT. One more service at Lads!
Kaleo Life:
We had the class Christian Worldview this past week, which was a sweet class, and the last class! It was a great time of exploration of the Christian faith and other worldviews and how the North American mindset came about.
Friday night was a dark night, not only because we remember the brutal crucifixion of Jesus, but because our power was out. Saturday night (we had our power back) was a powerful night of watching the Passion of the Christ, and getting past the biblical incongruities I could see the power of the passion of Christ.
By far the best part of the week was our Passover dinner and Cedar. I have not done a Passover meal in several years and it was great to do it in such a great community. You could really see the closeness the disciples must have felt during that meal. The food was delicious and the dessert was incredible. It was a sweet experience and I wish I could do it every year.
oh and by the way, there's only 13 days left! Crazy!
